HOW TO RESERVE A 4-HOUR GUIDED TOUR TO CALVARY OR A 7-HOUR GUIDED TOUR TO CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN?

Upon email or phone reservation you must provide the next information:

In September it's short visit with boat ride on I. lake (1-1,15h) possible everyday at 11am, 13pm and 15pm (without prior reservation). Other tours by arrangement.

  • Number of people, who will attend the tour (1-4)
  • Combined weight of all the people in kilograms (The maximum combined weight of he visitors is 320 kg)
  • Age of individual visitors (3,5-4- hour tour: ages between 10 and 65; 6,5-7-hour tour: ages between 15 and 65)
  • In the event that you want two people to make a stand-alone view, please state this in the notes. The price also depends on the number of visitors to the boat. You can enter your notes and questions in this box.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR 4 OUR 7-HOUR TOUR?

-Three pairs of warm socks
-Long pants
-Warm jacket with long sleeves
-Warm sweater

Bring only the listed clothing to the tour as wind jackets, and winter jackets are not appropriate. Before the tour you will receive a protective caving suit, which you will wear over your clothes and can’t be comfortably worn over bigger winter jackets. Wear all three pairs of socks – before you put on our rubber boots. You will be warm during moving, but the boat ride might feel a bit cold as both water and air only have 8°C.

You can bring a camera or a recorder.

Wie kann man Križna jama mit einem Auto erreichen?


RICHTUNG LJUBLJANA - ÖSTERREICH

Von Ljubljana in Richtung Koper-Triest fahren. Sie verlassen die Autobahn an der Ausfahrt Unec. Auf Unec links abbiegen und dann auf der Regionalstraße (durch die Dörfer Unec, Rakek, Podskrajnik, Cerknica, Martinjak, Grahovo, Bločice, Bloška Polica) weiterfahren. Wenn Sie zum Dorf Bloška Polica kommen, biegen Sie rechts ab (Richtung Lož). Nach ca. 1 km werden Sie auf der rechten Seite die Aufschrift „Križna jama“ sehen, wo auch die Hauptlandstraße auf eine Schotterstraße umbiegt. Fahren Sie noch 1 km weiter der Schotterstraße entlang. Wenn Sie an der Kreuzung kommen, biegen Sie links ab. Dann fahren Sie nur noch 200 Meter weiter und Sie werden vor dem Križna jama ankommen. Die Fahrt aus Ljubljana dauert 1 Stunde, weil Ljubljana 60 km von Križna jama entfernt ist.

RICHTUNG KOPER – ITALIEN

Von Koper fahren Sie in Richtung Ljubljana-Österreich. Sie verlassen die Autobahn an der Ausfahrt Unec. Auf Unec links abbiegen und dann auf der Regionalstraße (durch die Dörfer Unec, Rakek, Podskrajnik, Cerknica, Martinjak, Grahovo, Bločice, Bloška Polica) weiterfahren. Wenn Sie zum Dorf Bloška Polica kommen, biegen Sie rechts ab (Richtung Lož). Nach ca. 1 km werden Sie auf der rechten Seite die Aufschrift „Križna jama“ sehen, wo auch die Hauptlandstraße auf eine Schotterstraße umbiegt. Fahren Sie noch 1 km weiter der Schotterstraße entlang. Wenn Sie an der Kreuzung kommen, biegen Sie links ab. Dann fahren Sie nur noch 200 Meter weiter und Sie werden vor dem Križna jama ankommen. Die Fahrt aus Koper dauert 1 Stunde und 15 Minuten, weil Koper 85 km von Križna jama entfernt ist.

RICHTUNG BABNO POLJE – KROATIEN

Nachdem Sie am Grenzübergang Prezid-Babno polje die Grenze überschreiten, auf der Regionalstraße (durch die Ortschaften Babno Polje, Podgora pri Ložu, Iga vas, Pudob, Stari trg pri Ložu, Lož) weiterfahren. Wenn Sie das Dorf Lož verlassen, fahren Sie noch 3 km und dann werden Sie auf der linken Seite die Aufschrift „Križna jama“ sehen, wo auch die Hauptlandstraße auf eine Schotterstraße umbiegt. Fahren Sie noch 1 km weiter der Schotterstraße entlang. Wenn Sie an der Kreuzung kommen, biegen Sie links ab. Dann fahren Sie nur noch 200 Meter weiter und Sie werden vor dem Križna jama ankommen. Die Fahrt aus Babno Polje dauert 25 min, weil Babno Polje 20 km von Križna jama entfernt ist.

Bis zur Höhle gibt es keine öffentlichen Verkehrsverbindungen.

Visitors:  In the event, that you are unable to attend the tour for any given reason, please inform us at least 3 days prior the scheduled tour, or we will be forced to charge you for incurred costs (equipment preparation, tour guide, empty date, etc.). This does not apply to exceptional cases (illness, accident, etc.) but you should still inform us at least a few hours before the tour.

Križna cave: in the event of extreme drought of floods we have the right to cancel the scheduled tours at least two days beforehand.

 

Age and weight of visitors:

Upon tour reservation we want to know the age and weight of the visitors for the following reasons: most importantly, all visitors must be in good physical and mental condition. The tour involves walking on stairs, some climbing and walking in and out of the tour boat. Combined weight is an important information for the boat part of the tour as the boat may sink if the weight is too large. We discourage the viewing to individuals younger than 10 or 15 years as our more than 30-year long experience showed, that younger kids can become tired or cold after longer tours, which makes the tour harder.
